About the association
Wailuku Country Estates is a 184-lot agricultural subdivision. The community association serves its owners and administers community governance.
COMMUNITY CHARACTER
A working agricultural community
Wailuku Country Estates is a working agricultural community. Owners farm their land and sell agricultural products grown here through stores across Maui. They also donate harvests to local organizations.
The lots combine agricultural land with homes, and the community’s irrigation system supports farming and cultivation. Current state and county laws and the community’s governing documents determine which agricultural activities and improvements are permitted on a particular lot.
ASSOCIATION GOVERNANCE
Our community association
The Wailuku Country Estates Community Association is a corporation governed by a board of directors. Pono Real Estate manages the association, and volunteer committees handle architectural review and Firewise activities.
The governing documents describe the rules and responsibilities that apply to owners and their agricultural lots.

Wailuku Country Estates Irrigation Company, Inc.
Wailuku Country Estates Irrigation Company, Inc. manages irrigation service for the community’s agricultural lots and has a separate board of directors.

Architectural review
The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) reviews proposed owner projects under the governing documents and architectural design guidelines. Email Pono Real Estate for application and review instructions.
Older documents refer to the ARC as the Design Review Committee (DRC).

FIREWISE COMMITTEE
Firewise committee
The volunteer Firewise Committee coordinates local wildfire-risk reduction, education, partnerships and resident participation. Wailuku Country Estates is a recognized Firewise USA® site in good standing.
